2023 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The Belton Cup
Date: March 25th & 26th, 2023
The Belton Cup is a match play tournament, as chosen captains will select 32 players to represent their teams in a Ryder Cup Style format. Tee times will begin at 9:00 am both Saturday and Sunday.
(50) points to each player who participates
(50) points for each point won in team matches. (25) tie
(80) points for winning singles match. (40) tie.
(50) points to each player on the winning team.
The BPMGA Masters
Date: April 15th & 16th, 2023
The BPMGA Masters Tournament is a two-day net fourball. Players are drafted at the Friday Night Masters dinner and live entertainment. Tee times will begin at 9:00 am both Saturday and Sunday.
(50) points for each player who participates.
(275) points for each player on the overall winning team.
(225) points for each player on the overall 2ndplace team.
(200) points for each player on the overall 3rdplace team.
Each team after will deduct (10) points for each player for every spot behind 3rd they finish
(200) for winners of other flights
(175) 2nd in other flights
(150) 3rd in other flights
Red, White, & Blue
Date: May 13th, 2023
The BPMGA Red, White, & Blue is a one day individual stroke play tournament. Players will have to play 6-holes from the Red tees, 6-holes from the White tees, and 6-holes from the blue tees. Seniors 60+ will play White tees, Gold tees, and Red tees. Tee times will begin at 9:00 on Saturday.
(50) points for each player who participates.
(175) points for 1st place in each flight.
(125) points for 2nd place in each flight.
(100) points for 3rd place in each flight.
(90) points for 4th place in each flight and (10) less points for each place after that for each flight.
BPMGA Match Play
Date: April 17th-August 18th, 2023
The BPMGA Match Play tournament is an individual match play, where players are seeded in brackets of 8, using their MGA handicap. The tournament takes place over the Spring and Summer months. Players will be responsible for scheduling their matches in an appropriate time. Registration will be open to the first 72 golfers.
(50) points for each player who participates.
(25) points for each match won.
(150) point for 1st place in each flight.
(100) points for 2nd place in each flight.
(80) 3rd
(50) point bonus for going undefeated.
The Shootout
Date: June 24th & 25th, 2023
The Shootout is a 2-Man Team, where
players may select their own partner.
Limited to the first 30 teams signed
up. The tournament will be pre-flighted
based on combined MGA Handicaps. (6
teams per flight). All scores will be net scoring.
- Teams will play
(3) 9-hole match play matches on Saturday.
On Sunday, teams will play
(2) 9-hole match play matches
The team from each flight that
accumulates the most points in their
flight will win their flight and
advance to THE SHOOTOUT ROUND.
The Shootout will take place after the
2nd matches on Sunday. We will start
with 6 teams teeing off on #15 and
will eliminate 1 team per hole (team
with the highest net score on the
hole) until there is only 1 team left.
In the event of a tie on a hole, there
will be a chip off with the team
furthest from the hole being
eliminated.
(50) points for each player who participates
(20) points for each match won (10) for ti
(100) points for winning flight (50) for 2nd (25) for 3rd
(10) points for each hole advanced in the shootout
(100) point bonus for winning shootout (50) for 2nd (25) for 3rd.
One Man-One Mulligan per hole
Date: July 15th, 2023
The BPMGA One Man-One Mulligan per hole is an individual stroke play event, where players receive, like the event’s name, one mulligan per hole. Tee times to begin at 9:00 am.
(50) points for each player who participates.
(150) points for 1st place in each flight.
(100) points for 2nd place in each flight.
(80) points for 3rd place in each flight.
(70) points for 4th place in each flight and (10) less points for each place after that for each flight.
Club Championship
Date: August, 19th & 20th, 2023
The Member’s Club Championship is the last event to earn points for the MGA Year. The tournament is a two-day individual stroke play. Championship divisions include; Men, Senior Men, Super Senior Men, and Grand Senior Men.
(50) points for each player who participates.
(300) points for overall winners in Men’s, Seniors, Super Seniors, Grand Seniors. (and other flights)
(250) points for 2nd in the same divisions.
(200) points for 3rd in the same divisions.
(190) points for 4th in the same divisions and (10) less points for each place after that.

Our Mission
The Bay Pointe Men’s Golf Association’s Board Mission Statement to its members.
The mission of the BPMGA is provide every member with the greatest possible return on their investment in the association. In carrying out its mission, the Board’s goals will be:
To plan, schedule and monitor a number of member-only golf tournaments throughout the year. A variety of formats will provide an opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to compete for each tournament’s championship.
To provide oversight on members’ handicaps, and take steps to ensure that the playing field is as level as possible.
To promote the true spirit of the game of golf by encouraging proper etiquette and strict enforcement of the rules of the game as defined by the USGA and the local rules of the club.
To motivate members to participate in the affairs of the Men’s Golf Association through committee membership and board service.
To regularly communicate association activities to all members via our Web site, E-mail, Social Media, Pro Shop postings, and other communication apps.

Player of the Year
The Bay Pointe Men’s Golf Association Player of the Year is an award to given to the member who earns the most points throughout the BPMGA Calendar. That person will receive an invitation to play on the Rankin Cup team, and will have all events paid for by the BPMGA the following year, plus a BPMGA Player of the Year trophy and custom embroidered headcover!
Rankin Cup
The Rankin Cup is a two-day inter club match, with a Ryder Cup style format against Castlewoods. Bay Pointe Golf & Country Club members who earn enough points throughout the year will be eligible to make the team. The teams are comprised of 4 categories (Top Men), (Top Seniors), (Top Players over 10 handicap), and (Captain’s picks). The cup has resided at both clubs for equal time. The Bay Pointe Rankin Cup team has held onto the cup for over 2 years! Let’s make it a third! You can do your part by playing in the events, turning your scorecards in to the Pro Shop, and playing well throughout the year.
