In an effort to make the game of golf more accessible and enjoyable for our junior golfers, the Brent Belton Golf Academy has placed an emphasis on the enhancement of a year round golf development program at Bay Pointe Country Club. Growing the game does not just include the junior golfer, it includes their parents, siblings, friends, and other family members. At Bay Pointe Country Club, our primary goal is to offer a complete training experiences that encompasses every aspect of growth in skills, understanding the rules and etiquette on and off the golf course, and finding a lasting love for the game. LITTLE GATOR’S CLUB
Age Group: 4 to 8 year’s old
It’s never too early to learn and grow with our Little Gator’s Club! The Little Gator’s Club is a series of monthly parent-child clinics for families with children 4-8 years old. We use easy-to-learn equipment from SNAG Golf, Short Golf, and U.S. Kids Golf! We have fun, easy to aim targets, and our game-based learning strategies helps keep the learning fun!
DRIVE CHIP & PUTT
Age Group: 7-15 years old
Welcome to our Drive Chip & Putt Workshop at the Brent Belton Golf Academy at Bay Pointe! The design of this program is to allow junior golfers a chance to learn, develop, and refine their skills in the three categories. This program will give your DCP golfer a better understanding of the forms we teach, and the Drive Chip & Putt program all together. The DCP initiative is simply golf at its purest form, and our intention is to keep it that way; simple, fun, and rewarding! So let’s make some memories and dive more into Drive Chip & Putt!
U.S. KIDS GOLF
Age Group: 7-15
U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway Program is the simple path to learning golf! To make it fun for players to learn while staying motivated to improve, the Player Pathway provides the perfect program for kids, parents, and coaches. With an easy to follow curriculum combined with awards, players can progress from beginner to elite player!
SUMMER GOLF CAMP
Age Group: 7-15
The 2024 Summer Golf at Bay Pointe Country Club is scheduled for June 24th-27th! Each camp day begins at 9:00 am and lasts until 11:30 am. Kids are encouraged to bring their clubs, but equipment will be provided! The four day camp concludes with a Parent-Child Play Day, followed by lunch and awards banquet on Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 am. Registration will be limited, so enroll today!
PARENT-CHILD CAMP
Child’s Age Group: 7-15
Bay Pointe Country Club invites you to join us this summer for our inaugural Parent-Child Golf Camp, July 25th – 27th! The three day camp includes full-swing, short-game, and on-course clinic, plus fun nightly events to enjoy soaking up the last half of another fun summer at the country club. FALL ACADEMY CUP
Age Group: 7-15
The league allows kids to practice and compete with other like skill level golfers, while playing in a fun 9-hole format. The Academy Cup is designed to introduce our students to competitive golf, elevate our junior golfer’s playing experience, improve social skills to our little ones, encourage teamwork, and leadership roles while playing. Parents will be able to coach and caddie in the league matches as well.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 31st! The league will begin immediately after registration is complete. A schedule will be posted on the tournament page immediately after registration. OUR G.O.L.F. INITIATIVE
The Giving Our Love Freely “GOLF” Initiative has been created to help grow the game of golf through our youth with an emphasis on not only the game of golf itself but what life lessons can be learned when golf is played properly. The goal is not only to teach golf, but also learn what influence the love of Christ has on all our lives. The Initiative is open to all Junior golfers ages 11 and older. Private lessons are available for younger students at reduced rates. The Initiative runs from June – August and Callaway Golf is our major golf sponsor. THE BELTON SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Belton Scholarship Program was created to assist a deserving young man or woman golfer, with the next chapter of their life, a college education. All funds for the program will be generated from green fee purchases at the club. The Scholarship will be awarded in May of every year beginning in 2016. Applicants are required to have at least a 3.0 or “B” average in school and be an active member of their school’s golf team. The student must also submit an essay of no more than 75 words stating the importance of golf in their lives and why they should be considered for the award.
